1. Accepting these terms
By creating an Autolok account, bidding, listing a vehicle or buying a part you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Accounts and membership
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate details. Bidding requires an active Verified Member subscription. Membership fees are billed monthly or annually and are non-refundable once the period has started.
3. Bidding is binding
Every bid is a binding offer to buy at that amount. Bids cannot be retracted. A bid placed in the final 30 seconds extends the auction clock. The highest bid at close, where the seller minimum is met, wins the lot.
4. Deposits
Bids above KES 700,000 require a refundable bidding deposit unless your Trust Score qualifies you for a waiver. Deposits are refunded after settlement or on request, and may be forfeited if you win and fail to pay.
5. Selling
Sellers must pass identity and ownership verification and declare the true condition of the vehicle. Misdeclared damage, disputed ownership or stolen vehicles will be removed and may be reported. Listings only go live after Autolok review.
6. What happens to a submitted car
After review, Autolok classifies each vehicle as a complete car for auction, a parts donor, or scrap. Parts donors are dismantled and listed individually in the Parts section. Scrap vehicles are assigned to authorised recycling partners and are not offered for public sale.
7. Parts
Used parts are sold as described, with condition stated on each listing. Availability is shown live and parts are removed once sold.
8. Payment and collection
Winning buyers settle through Autolok before release. Storage fees may apply after the free storage window stated on the lot.
9. Liability
Vehicles and parts are sold as-is. Autolok provides inspection information in good faith but is not liable for latent defects beyond what a condition report states.
10. Suspension
We may suspend or close accounts for non-payment, fraud, abuse or repeated non-collection.
11. Governing law
